About Wallonia
Wallonia is the southern region of Belgium, with 3,692,283 inhabitants (31.4% of the country) on 16,905 km², more than half of Belgium’s territory. It has five provinces and 261 municipalities. French is spoken in most of Wallonia; nine municipalities in the east form the German-speaking Community. The capital is Namur. The south is covered by the forested hills of the Ardennes.
